FWC asks beachgoers to skip personal fireworks this July 4th

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is requesting that residents refrain from bringing personal fireworks to beaches during Fourth of July celebrations. The agency reports that the noise and light from fireworks can disorient nesting sea turtles and waterbirds.
