FWC asks beachgoers to skip personal fireworks this Fourth of July

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is requesting that residents avoid using personal fireworks on beaches during the Fourth of July holiday. The agency states that the noise and light from fireworks can disorient and disrupt nesting sea turtles and waterbirds.
