St. Petersburg City Council Updates and Community Concerns

The St. Petersburg City Council has decided to create a development plan for the Historic Gas Plant District before choosing a developer for the project. Additionally, community members voiced opposition to a partnership between the St. Petersburg Police Department and federal immigration authorities, known as the 287(g) program, which allows local police to assist in enforcing federal immigration laws.
