These organizations are non-profit community partners that work to bring together residents, businesses, and organizations to strengthen the community through public meetings, resource fairs, career and education literacy, scholarship resources, public safety, and guest speakers. They also maintain an office at the Pine Hills Community Center, where they work with local civic and nonprofit entities to coordinate referrals, services, and training for Pine Hills residents. The Board desires that County-owned and County-managed community centers be used in a manner that provides public benefit to County residents. The Board has designated the Manager of the Community Action Division of the Family Services Department to arrange, manage, and supervise the public use of the County’s community centers.
